(about us)
Cave Konak is a "Special Class" hotel, a designation awarded by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism in recognition of our special historical character and charming local features.
Our stone rooms date back to the Ottoman Empire when they were inhabited by Christians and are between 120 and 500 years old.
This history of our cave rooms extends back to Byzantine times and some of them may have existed since wine making first came to the region, before the Romans arrived.
Cave Konak is located right in the center of Urgup, a small town that is the hub of local transportation, and there are cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and banks just a couple of minutes from our door.
The owners all speak fluent English and are on hand for information and recommendations to help you make the most of your time in Cappadocia.
If you plan to celebrate any special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary or honeymoon, please get in touch and let us know how what we can do for the event.
We also offer a free trip planning service and you can contact us before you come or at any time during your stay.
